As Philadelphia’s premier contemporary ballet company, BalletX unites distinguished choreographers with an outstanding company of world-class dancers to forge new works of athleticism, emotion, and grace. Since the company’s founding in 2005, BalletX has encouraged formal experimentation while preserving rigorous technique. The resident dance company of The Wilma Theater, BalletX has reached diverse audiences of all ages and backgrounds with its three annual performance series in Philadelphia and has performed at prestigious venues and festivals worldwide.
